125/150 CambridgePark Drive Building Alarm Procedures

The following is what takes place when the building goes into Alarm:

  1. The entire building is warned that the alarm has been activated. This is done by a pre-signal of four beeping tones which can be heard over the “red fire speakers” which are located in each tenant’s space and in the elevator lobbies.
  2. After the four beeps have sounded, the following taped message will be heard three times throughout the building through the red fire speakers:
“ATTENTION PLEASE. The signal tone you have just heard indicated a report of an emergency in this building. If your floor evacuation signal sounds after this message walk to the nearest stairway and leave the floor. While the report is being verified occupants on other floors should await further instructions.”
  3. The evacuation tone follows this message and is a series of beeps. The floors that receive the series of beeps should evacuate the building using the building evacuation plan.
  4. Evacuation should occur in an orderly fashion via the stairways and evacuate the building as per the EVACUATION PLAN.
  5. DO NOT USE THE ELEVATORS.
  6. Should the alarm be verified as false, the Fire Department will give the “all clear” and a live public address announcement will be broadcasted throughout the building.
